U.S.-Swiss ‘Intergovernmental Agreement’ a Dubious Win for FATCA

Today the U.S. Treasury Department announced it had signed an “intergovernmental agreement” (IGA) for the enforcement of the “U.S. Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act” (FATCA) in Switzerland.
